-->> READER's Digest ( well not really ) of what's been happening ..
::

A serious of chaotic events ( interspersed with a few very positive events ) has lead to many difficult setbacks upon my return from SAN DIEGO Comic Con 2011. Long story short after, illness, theft, family drama, wracking up avoidable amounts of debt, COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWNS, & ultimately leading to the exceptionally frustrating collapse of my main external hard drive that encased 12 years of digital life and my entire off-server website.

Metaphorically like cleaning up after a digital tornado; this disaster has left with some data retrieved some lost, some mixed up and truncated. Many items backed up, many replaceable, some may not ever be retrieved unless i was to pay extraneous amounts of $$ for services meant for the wealthy or at least those at a higher pay grade.

Owning and running these hobbled together, mutant machines almost practically duct taped together and for years for lack available funding to run even someone adequate hardware to maintain my creative edges ( or is that fringes ?? ) has lead to many mistakes and lessons learned that are costing me money i do not have. Keeping all this going and the websites; ect. is kind of like keeping a slowly dieing old car maintained.. cuz it's only one ya got. and you can't necessarily barely maintain the old thing. And you also can't just go out and get a new one.

You know the basics to get you by with the ol' jalopey cuz you need the damm thing to keep you going. You can change a flat tire, check the oil, make sure it's got gas in it .. n' just cross your fingers the machine will get you thru just one more winter until you get something better.

Until just the right "BAD THING" happens.. si here comes the MORTON SALT Girl .. and when it RAINS .. IT POURS .. and my 'jalopey' is severely breaking down and i'm stuck goin' nowhere fast.

i've know enough to get me by but i'm not techie enough as to know what would work to get me out of this situation. And i'm too poor to be nothing but enslaved to a very ANTI-DESIGNER /GRAPHICS / and Artist unfriendly platform that becomes this old P.C. . There's a fine line being grateful for what you have - and being driven to the point where you NEED SOMETHING MUCH BETTER.

Good thing is, Tokka's growing and learning internally and am handling this much better than i used to ( in spite of the 'SCHIZOPHRENIA' ).
Someone really gives me alot of hope at the moment to and counts on me which helps.

So .. i am glad i've had 0 nervous breakdowns like i used to post California trips and am 'hanging in there', But i'm not out of the 'dirty laundry' just yet so to speak. And as i go through the laborious task of sorting out & still recovering my lost data - i'm coming face to face with fragments of my past i've never shared anywhere before.

And some imperative, non-restorable creative bits along that now shattered paper trail might be lost forever i may not ever be able to share at all.

Tiger Electronics information:

Tiger Electronics is an American toy manufacturer, best known for its handheld LCD games, the Furby, and Giga Pets. When Tiger was an independent company, Tiger Electronics Inc., its headquarters were in Vernon Hills, Illinois.

Randy Rissman and Roger Shiffman founded the company in 1978. It started with low-tech items like phonographs, but then began developing handheld electronic games and teaching toys. Prominent among these was 'K28, Tiger's Talking Learning Computer', (1984) that was sold worldwide by K-Mart and other chain stores. Tiger also achieved success with many simple handheld electronics games like 'Electronic Bowling' and other titles based on licenses, such as 'RoboCop', 'Terminator', and "Spider-Man". An early 90's hit was the variable speed portable cassette/microphone combo Talkboy (first seen in the 1992 movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York), followed by the Brain Warp and the Brain Shift. It also licensed the "Lazer Tag" brand from its inventors, Shoot the Moon Products, which was born from the remnants of the Worlds of Wonder company. Tiger also produced a version of Lights Out around 1995. In 1997 it also produced a quaint fishing game called Fishing Championship, in the shape of a reduced fishing rod.

In 1995 Tiger acquired the Texas Instruments toy division. Tiger agreed to manufacture and market electronic toys for Hasbro and Sega.

Tiger has made two cartridge based systems. The first and less technically sophisticated was known as the R-Zone. It employed red LCD cartridges, which were projected via backlight onto a reflective screen that covered one of the player's eyes. All R-Zone games were adapted from existing Tiger handheld LCDs. The second was the game.com handheld system, which was meant to compete with Nintendo's Game Boy and boasted such novel features as a touchscreen and limited Internet connectivity. Ultimately, it was a failure, with only 20 games produced.

Tiger Electronics has been part of the Hasbro toy company since 1998. Hasbro, previously shy of high-tech toys, was very interested in the development of the cuddly 'Furby'. With Hasbro's support, Tiger was able to rush through the development process and get the Furby on the shelves for the 1998 holiday season, during which it was a runaway hit -- the 'it' toy of the 1998 and 1999 seasons.

Tiger also created the Giga Pets line of handheld electronic 'pets' to compete with the popular Japanese Tamagotchi.

The company has since become one of the most prominent producers of electronic toys, chosen to produce toys based on a wide variety of licenses, including Star Trek, Star Wars, Barney, Arthur, Winnie the Pooh, Franklin the Turtle, Neopets, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and many more.

In 2000, Tiger was licensed to provide a variety of electronics with the Yahoo! brand name, including digital cameras, webcams, and a 'Hits Downloader' that made music from the Internet (mp3s, etc.) accessible through Tiger's assorted 'HitClips' players. Tiger also produces the long lasting I-Dog Interactive Music Companion, the ZoomBox - a portable 3-in-1 home entertainment projector that will play DVDs, CDs and connects to most gaming systems, the VideoNow personal video player, the VCamNow digital camcorder and the ChatNow line of kid-oriented two-way radios.

The continuing development of Furby-type technology has led to the release of the 'FurReal' line of toys in 2003."

Hallucinations, seizures, lacerations, the soldering of flesh, this shell is breaking down into absolute chaotix of cycle i no longer with to participate in.

I shall not ever return to the hospital to waste valuable time in trying to fight this process - pointless and frivolous medications, placebos , restraints, group meetings , games and a sad ward of the zombified confounds me how that "HELPS".

Crisis is crisis, but when i simply need some one of rational mind to speak to - - they are not ever there ; so i have closed up to even reaching to such measures and i have learned to trust so very few -- and in some cases nil' , when i am seeking a voice other than the ones of my own that trap me in their hurricanes.

No more nervous break downs, guilt trips, shunning of me , shunning of my work , dunning of my creations.

An industry constantly leading me on and questioning every last of every last tiny line and item to the visceral and minute pores on my skin. The closed minded ways and approaches still confuse me. I suppose the rejection for the most i can handle; but at what point does that break and something actually HAPPEN ??

Ergosphere

I scream 100s and 1000s of times that my work matters too - - that i matter - that i stand for something. The millions of voices are so much more resounding than my pathetic screams.

Perhaps the dollar signs shall always speak louder ; i just don't know.

The rejection of me and my work locally; at what was once my home may have even been harder to deal with.

Gravitational Collapse

I relate less and less to the world around me - - socially inept to the point where i can talk little. I mostly fold into my art as it is my only refuge at all.

Still the shunning shall remain no matter it appears.

No; the vortex morphed -- and this black hole -- eating everything i am .. was.

I don't know if i have any more energy left to make it to the other side of the black hole in one piece.

My work continues to dominate in strength and in the unique, perhaps the niche still is reachable.
I will fight my damnedest in the coming months. Work hard as my energy will allow - - to their ultimate fringes and edges.

Accelerator

If they really want to see "CRAZY" fine i shall show them crazy and turn that on their heads.

I shall try one last time and the worst place to look for work ( but the only informal chance i've ever had to be taken at least semi-seriously to major companies the past 8 years or so .. i ain't rich or as well connected as my peers in the industry ) out in
San Diego.

The decision has been made - i shall give it a tough fight, best i can ( pending a fatal crisis or something major i can not control like if i die from one of seizures.. ) for another 8 - 9 months..

Evaporation

if "SOMETHING" even in the slightest .. - - the tiniest even bit of direction is formed within' that time..

i am done.

I am shutting down thew websites, cease all art and projects for good, and quit.

Then i shall seek the peace i've desperately craved my entire existence.

..i may not have agreed with you ideologically - but you took compassion and a non-judgmental role on this shaky person that i am.

You allowed me into your grandson's life and allowed me into your home and existence as well ( even tho' i did not deserve any of your compassion ).

I am forever in admiration of your courage and brevity especially after Mrs. Barringer passed away years ago; and am forever thankful for the fine person you have raised; the goofy deaf kid - that has grown into a mature member of society; Jasen.

You stayed here with us longer than any of them said you would and again graced that you took me in as one of your own much like you did your grandson so long ago.

You were a much faithful person than i could ever be. I consider you not of the mass; hypocritical lot - - but of one that walked the path of a True Christian.

I hope you are in a far better place.

I miss you terribly.

Mrs.Barringer,

When you passed away - i did no get to say good bye or thank you.

Your husband's recent passing too took me blindside.

I was also unable to go to either service; also too i am sure i would have not been able to handle them and keep dignity in composure.

Much like your husband, you suspended judgment and took me in as one of your own. You and Mr.B became that ever important surrogate family and never did waiver from that non-judgmental role. so rare a state of mind and heart in the late twentieth and twenty first century.

i could also speak to you no matter what, even when i was on the darkest of grounds and in the most incredible of pain. You listened, passing gentile advice never even trying to bring inappropriate "RELIGIOUS" context to the forefront.

Tho' i do know that your faith was the basis if such things - and that was an important aspect of you bringing such good into my life, Jasen's and the world ..i respect that wholly.

The things you shared and allowed me to share despite your aliments and your fight - -i think you came out through all of that even stronger on the rebound.

I was crushed you could not be here longer. Or to even witness the marriage of your grandson.

As me and Jasen have grown up together, i have seen him mature into a very strong and mature individual.

His mental fortitude and inner strength is so commendable and string as it's ever been at this point despite what the world throws at him. Keo reciprocates that strength in him as well. It's amazing !!

Despite his inflictions, the deafness, and the adversity .. he remains so very mighty in my eyes. A brother and one of my best friends i've ever had.

I am very proud to know him; and i am proud to have known the people who's DNA he inherited.

As i have stated, you waked a much more faithful path than i ever could.

And the world you left has grown ever increasingly darker around me.

I am so very sorry i can not walk that same path.

Tho' i truly hope it has lead you to a much better place and i hope you get to be with your beloved Neil.

I miss you so very much, Mrs. Barringer.
